Liu Dechang, Research scientist Ⅱ and doctor supervisor, is from Sanyuan County, Shanxi. He is currently the executive deputy director of the Academic Committee of the National Key Laboratory of Science and Technology on Remote Sensing Information and Image Analysis, Beijing Research Institute of Uranium Geology (BRIUG) and the deputy director and secretary-general of the Expert Committee of the Chinese Association of Remote Sensing Applications. He used to be the director of the Aerial Survey and Remote Sensing Research Center and the director of the National Key Laboratory of Science and Technology on Remote Sensing Information and Image Analysis, BRIUG.
He was concentrated on the study of structure geology on uranium in the early stage. Then he has been engaged in the study of remote sensing technology in the field of nuclear resources exploration and nuclear military for a long time. Over the past decades, he won 34 national and ministerial scientific and technological progress awards. He written and published several monographs, such as “Uranium Structures and Metallogenic Evolution in China”, “Post-Remote Sensing Application Technology” and “Introduction to the Application of Remote Sensing on Geosciences”. Besides, more than 100 papers have been published in journals such as Science China, Acta Geologica Sinica, Journal of Remote Sensing and A Collection of Chinese and Russian Nuclear Scientists.
He was also rated as the “Young and Middle-aged Experts with Outstanding Contributions in the Nuclear Industry System” and “Model Workers in the Nuclear Industry System”. He was also a scientific and technical expert approved by the State Council to enjoy the “National Government Special Allowance”.
