Vice Dean/Prof. Zheng Chen, Guangxi University, China 


Professor Zheng CHEN is since 2018 Vice-Dean of School of Civil Engineering and Architecture of Guangxi University, Nanning, Guangxi, China. He received his Ph.D. in Structural Engineering from the Guangxi University, China in 2009. He worked for Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Alberta as a Visiting Professor in 2014-2015. His interests are in durability of concrete structures, rehabilitation and reinforcement of concrete structures, health monitoring and reliability assessment of concrete structures, high performance concrete. Zheng  Chen has published more than 80 articles and applied for 24 Chinese Invention Patents, in which 17 itesm have been authorized. He is the Secretary-general of Guangxi Ceramic Society and a reviewer of some international journals such as Construction and Building Materials, Journal of Cleaner Production, Canadian Journal of Civil Engineering. Zheng Chen received the Guangxi WUSI-Outstanding Youth Award in 2015. He provided technical services about durability of concrete and HPC successfully for some significant infrastructure constructions included Zangmu bridge of Sichuan-Tibet railway, Pingnan bridge (the largest span arch bridge in the world), Nanning railway traffic project, Tieshanggang seaport wharf and some underground engineering construction in Alberta.
